Chatham-Kent’s Animal Control Officer is reminding residents of their responsibility as dog owners after a man was bitten by a two-and-a-half year old American Bulldog on Gray St. in Chatham on Friday morning.
Jason Hamm says owners must have control of their animal at all times.
Hamm says it is against the municipal bylaw for a dog’s leash or tether to reach any public sidewalk.
The injured man was not seriously hurt, but the dog has been quarantined for ten days by the local health unit.
