A Chatham man will have to answer to a judge in court after he was stopped at a RIDE checkpoint in Tilbury.
The Ontario Provincial Police said officers were conducting the RIDE checkpoint on the Queens Line off-ramp of eastbound Highway 401 on Wednesday, when they stopped the accused at around 9:45 p.m.
As a result, officers arrested a 36-year-old man from Chatham. He is now charged with impaired driving, driving with a blood alcohol content over the legal limit, and failing to comply with a release order.
The man was held in custody for a bail hearing.
