Lynn Van Maanen with the Chatham-Kent 4H Bicycle Club says the Ride of Silence is part of an international effort to encourage motorists and cyclists alike to share the road.
“To make sure that people are aware of other bicyclists on the road and respect them on the road,” says Van Maanen. “And it is a ride of silence to remember all the folks who have been injured or killed while riding bicycles on the road.”
The Ride of Silence begins at 7 o’clock tomorrow night at the Ridgetown Campus agronomy building.
