A local student robotics team is looking for some community support.
The Cyber Pack team is hoping to attend some robotics competitions this spring, one in Waterloo and one in St. Louis.
Team member Owen Dodman says the competitions are nothing like the robot competitions from TV.
“There are six robots in the ring at once but they’re doing separate tasks. They aren’t interacting too much together,” says Dodman. “At the competitions there are alliances of three different teams but they’ll get judged as an alliance and then as a team.”
The team has launched a GoFundMe page to help with travel expenses, competition fees, and for next year’s activities. The fundraiser can be found here.
