The town was in the running for a $50,000 grant in the Pioneer Hi-Bred Here’s to Hometowns contest.
Local officials had hoped to use the grant to help build a permanent pavilion for events like the annual Homecoming.
Instead, Rocklyn and Hickson took the top two spots in the Ontario category.
