The investigation continues into a single-vehicle collision that shut down a section of the 401 earlier this morning.
Elgin OPP Constable Brett Phair says at 5:43 Thursday morning, emergency crews responded to kilometre marker 85 in the westbound lanes for a roll-over collision involving a transport hauling livestock.
Phair says the truck driver, who was the lone occupant of the vehicle, was air-lifted to a trauma centre for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
The east and westbound lanes of the highway were closed for several hours between Bloomfield Road and Communication Road. The highway was reported open at around 3 p.m.
