Charges have been laid following a rollover crash in Lakeshore.
The Ontario Provincial Police said officers responded to County Road 42 near County Road 27 in Belle River at around 4:15 p.m. on August 27, after a vehicle left the road and rolled several times.
The driver then attempted to leave the scene and struck another vehicle that had stopped to assist.
When officers spoke to the driver, they noticed signs of impairment. He was taken to hospital as a precaution and arrested.
As a result, a 59-year-old Windsor man has been charged with impaired driving and driving with a blood alcohol level over the legal limit. He was also issued a 90-day driver’s licence suspension, and his vehicle will be impounded for seven days.
