The Rotary Club of Chatham Sunrise is honouring some local charities this morning as part of Giving Tuesday. 
The service club is donating nearly $9,000 to area community organizations and charities, and they’re recognizing these groups at an event this morning.
Outreach for Hunger, the Chatham Goodfellows, YMCA Strong Kids, and the United Way are just a few agencies receiving some of the funds, which were raised by Sunrise Rotarians.
The club says members were also involved in selecting the recipient charities who all provide a charitable benefit to the community and are consistent with the Rotary’s areas of focus.
