The United Way is going back in time this fall.
Spokesperson Margery Muharrem says the organization is hosting a 20’s themed Rum Runners’ Gala next month.
“We’re looking forward to running this event on Sept 14th. Out at the Chatham airport again, this time it’s a rum runners theme, prohibition. Kinda subversive. Nobody is supposed to know about it and then ‘BAM!’ You get inside the hanger and it’s going to be a fun night for sure.”
The gala includes a themed dinner, whisky tasting, live entertainment, and a fashion show.
Tickets are $150 each and can be purchased online.
