Sally Ann Wraps Up Red Kettle Campaign

The Red Kettles have been put away for another year as the Salvation Army of Chatham-Kent has fallen shy of its fundraising goal. salvation-army

The Sally Ann reached just about 94% of its goal this year, collecting $421,401 in donations.

While more money will still be collected this week, officials say they’ll be closely examining all of the Salvation Army’s programs to see where savings can be found without directly affecting clients’ assistance.

Over 900 local families were given support over the holidays with food hampers, and toys handed out to more than 1000 children.
