Salvation Army Looking for Toys and Volunteers

File photo.

The Salvation Army’s Red Kettle Campaign has reached more than half of its goal.

Captain Stephanie Watkinson says this is on par with previous years, but they’re still in need of volunteers in the days leading up to Christmas.

She says, “Our kettle volunteers will be out on the 24th, and we’re still in need of volunteers. The easiest way to sign up as a volunteer, is to check out our website at www.cksalvationarmy.org and it lists all three locations- Wallaceburg, Ridgetown, and Chatham.”

All money raised will go toward the Salvation Army’s year-round programs within Chatham-Kent.

Meantime, Watkinson says they are running short on toys for the Wallaceburg portion of their campaign – they’re looking specifically for presents for kids age 7 to 12.
