Salvation Army Success

After an 11th hour plea for donations, the Salvation Army has put the wraps on its annual Christmas Campaign.

Captain Karen Holland says they’re getting a true understanding of how generous Chatham-Kent residents can be.

“We were a little iffy there for awhile as to whether or not we’d see our goal. Of course the wonderful community we have here in Chatham-Kent came through for us and we exceeded our goal of $460,000 and $470,907.15”

Holland says she is grateful to all of the volunteers and businesses who helped out with the Red Kettles across the municipality.
