A Blenheim man has been arrested after allegedly crashing his vehicle in Sarnia’s Rainbow Park.

According to Sarnia Police, the driver failed to negotiate a turn at Front and Johnston Streets, drove over a curb, and skidded within five feet of an occupied tent before becoming stuck in a nearby grassy area.

Police arrived to find the driver holding an open liquor bottle as he got out of the vehicle with several empty beer cans left in the front seat.

The 25-year-old has been charged with impaired operation and refusal to comply with a breath demand. His driver’s license has been suspended for 90 days, and his vehicle was impounded for seven days.
