Sarnia Man Arrested For Drug Possession

A Sarnia man is facing a drug charge after a traffic complaint led police from the Wallaceburg area onto Walpole Island.

The Ontario Provincial Police was contacted by the Chatham-Kent Police Service on Monday at around 1:30 a.m. regarding the traffic complaint.

The vehicle involved was located by OPP officers on Tecumseh Road on Walpole Island First Nation, along with three individuals who were walking nearby.

Following an investigation, one man was arrested without incident.

A 29-year-old Sarnia man is now charged with possession of methamphetamine and will answer the charge in court next month.
