SCCDSB Gven The Green Light For September Plans

Plans are in the works to get kids safely back into the classroom next month. The local English Catholic board has been given provincial approval for high school students.

In a letter to parents this week, the St Clair Catholic District School Board says it has the nod of approval from the Ministry of Education for a quadmester style of learning for high school students this year.

The idea is to reduce student contact by keeping kids in a single class.

The quadmester model will see students take two courses over a 10 week period, with one subject being taught at a time for one week, then switching to the second subject the next week. The first quadmester would run September 8th to November 11th, before moving on to the next two subjects.

Parents and students can expect to see full timetables and schedule information in the coming days.
