Chatham-Kent high school students interested in pursuing an education in film and media could be eligible for some financial assistance.
The Chatham-Kent Film Group is offering a $1,000 scholarship to local students applying to a college or university for a degree or diploma program in Film Studies, Cinematic Studies, or Media Studies.
Those interested must be applying for classes in the 2023 semester, following graduation from a secondary school in Chatham-Kent. Students must also submit a brief essay of up to 500 words on their future aspirations in film.
The deadline for applications is Friday, April 28 and the scholarship recipient will be announced at this year’s June film showing.
