The St. Clair Region Conservation Authority has reissued a flood watch for the area of the St. Clair River where ice jams are occurring.
The ice breaking efforts continue on the lower reaches of the river.
Winds have subsided and the water levels have fallen, however the long-range forecast shows conditions could set up potential flood risks again later this week.
Residents of the St. Clair River shoreline could experience erosion and/or flooding as a result of the impacts from the ice jam.
Residents are reminded to avoid shorelines, watercourses and flooded areas due to dangerous ice conditions, slippery banks and cold, swift moving water.
Children and pets should be kept away from the water.
