Security Camera Tampered With in Chatham

Charges have been laid after a security camera was tampered with.

Chatham-Kent Police were contacted by a business owner on Wellington Street shortly after 11:30 Wednesday night, and say someone changed the direction of their CCTV camera.

Officers responded and were able to identify a suspect. A 42-year-old man was arrested and has been charged with theft, possession of stolen property, and two counts of failing to attend court in relation to an outstanding warrant.

The accused was held in custody for a bail hearing.
