A local senior has been arrested after allegedly having too much to drink and getting behind the wheel.
The Chatham-Kent Police Service said officers responded to a complaint about a driver on St. Clair Street in Chatham at around 5 p.m. on Wednesday.
Police located and stopped a vehicle and performed a roadside screening test on the driver, resulting in a fail. The driver also failed additional breath tests at police headquarters.
As a result, an 80-year-old Chatham man was arrested and is now charged with driving with a blood alcohol level over the legal limit. He will answer the charge in court later this month.
