Service Closures Across CK Over the Holidays

The holidays are upon us, and with them come a number of service and government office closures.

On the municipal side of things, offices and most services will be closed at noon on December 24 and 31, and closed for the full day on December 25, 26, and January 1. The same applies to Service Ontario desks in Chatham and Dresden.

All public libraries will shut their doors December 24 through 26, and again on New Year’s Day.

There will be no Ride CK transit service on December 25 and 26, and January 1.

Curbside garbage and recycling collection will be delayed by one day for the weeks of December 23 and December 30. Collections scheduled for Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday will occur one day later due to the holidays on December 25 and January first.

At the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, outpatient diagnostic tests will continue through the holidays, however outpatient rehabilitation services in both Chatham and Wallaceburg will not be available today through Friday and again on January 1st.

The Chatham-Kent Outpatient Mental Health and Addictions Program will be closed on December 25, December 26, 2024, and January 1, 2025.

Outpatient Lab Services will be closed on December 25 and 26 as well as New Year’s Day, reopening on the second.

The Ambulatory Care Department at both Chatham and Wallaceburg sites will be closed on December 25, December 26, 2024, and January 1, 2025.

The Seasonal Care Clinic at the Chatham site will remain open 9am to 5pm Monday through Friday, with the exception of December 25, 26 and January 1.

The Emergency Departments at the Chatham and Wallaceburg sites remain open 24 hours a day.
