The Family Day holiday is almost upon us, and with it comes a number of service closures across Chatham-Kent.
All municipal offices will be closed on Monday, including Service Ontario offices in Chatham and Dresden. There will be no public transit offered and no garbage or recycling collections. Pick-ups for the rest of the week will be delayed by a day.
All branches of the public library will be open as usual on Monday, although the administration offices will be closed. The Chatham-Kent Museum will also be open 11am-4pm. Other arts and culture venues, including the Cultural Centre box office, Thames Art Gallery, and ARTspace, will be shut down for the day.
Ridgetown and Wallaceburg Arenas will be closed. All other arenas will be open. CLICK HERE for the full February Free Skate schedule.
On the health care side of things, the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance will be operating on its standard holiday schedule with no ambulatory care or outpatient services. Outpatient diagnostic tests that have already been scheduled will continue as planned. The oncology and chemotherapy department will be closed, but hemodialysis care will remain open.
Emergency departments in both Chatham and Wallaceburg remain open 24 hours a day.
