The last long weekend of summer is upon us, and as usual a long weekend means service closures and changes.
All government offices will be shut down on Monday for the Labour Day holiday, and there will be no public transit running for the day.
Labour Day means no garbage and recycling collections, and pick-ups for the rest of the week will be delayed by a day.
Libraries and all cultural facilities will also be closed.
The Chatham-Kent Health Alliance will be running on its standard holiday schedule with most clinics and ambulatory care services shut down for the day. Scheduled out-patient tests will run as usual and the emergency departments will continue to operate 24 hours a day in both Chatham and Wallaceburg.
