Some changes are coming to services and programs across Chatham-Kent due to the Easter long weekend.
Good Friday and Easter Monday will see all municipal offices, government buildings, and courts closed down, including Service Ontario desks in Chatham and Dresden.
Public libraries will be closed tomorrow and Monday, but open regular hours on Saturday.
Ride CK will not be running on Friday or Sunday, but will operate Saturday and Monday.
There will be no garbage or recycling collection on Good Friday, with regular Friday pick-ups taking place on Saturday. Next week’s schedule remains as normal, including collections on Monday.
Blenheim’s Gable Rees Rotary Pool and Wallaceburg Sydenham Pool will be open only for an Adult Swim from 12-1:30pm on Good Friday, followed by a Free Rec Swim Sponsored by Noelle’s Gift from 1:30-3:00pm. Pools will be open regular hours on Saturday April 4, closed on Sunday April 5, and open regular hours on Monday April 6.
The Chatham-Kent Health Alliance will be running on its standard statutory holiday schedule. Ambulatory care, out-patient rehab services, and other lab services will be closed both Friday and Monday, although there will be some pre-scheduled outpatient diagnostic tests throughout the long weekend.
Emergency departments in both Wallaceburg and Chatham remain open 24/7.
