With the long weekend comes service closures.
Government offices will be shut down on Monday, and there will be no public transit for the day.
All 11 branches of the public library will be shut down, but resume full service at all locations except Wheatley the following day.
Transfer stations will be closed and there’s no garbage or recycling collection on Monday, and pick-ups for the rest of the week will be delayed by a day.
Thames Art Gallery and Chatham-Kent Museum are closed September 6, re-opening for pre-booked visits on September 8.
On the health care side of things, both Wallaceburg and Chatham sites of the Health Alliance will be operating on their usual stat holiday schedule for Labour Day, with no out-patient or ambulatory care.
The COVID assessment centre at the corner of Grand and St Clair in Chatham will be open for appointments on Monday, and the emergency departments at both hospitals remain open 24/7.
