Wallaceburg’s Seth Griffith has been placed on waivers by the Florida Panthers – for the third time this season.
Just three weeks after making an impact on the Panthers’ top line, the local hockey product finds himself in limbo once again, with the likelihood of another new club in his near future.
It’s been a busy season for the 131st overall 2012 draft pick. Griffith was put on the waiver wire by the club that drafted him, the Boston Bruins, earlier this season. He was then claimed by Toronto, offered on waivers by the Leafs and picked up by Florida.
The early sense is that Griffith could be finding his fourth NHL home of the season, all before the All-Star break.
If he goes unclaimed, Seth would report to the Springfield Thunderbirds – Florida’s AHL affiliate.
Griff has six assists in 25 games this season split between Toronto and Florida.
