Seven Active COVID Cases in CK

While still in the single digits, Chatham-Kent’s COVID numbers are creeping up again.

Public Health says there have been two more cases confirmed since the last update on Wednesday and one resolved, raising the total active caseload to 7.

Province-wide, Ontario reported 200 new cases on Friday, along with another 284 from the holiday on July 1st.

Chatham-Kent’s mass vaccination clinic remains busy with almost 99-thousand shots administered. Officials say roughly 74% of the municipality’s adult population 10 and older have now received at least one dose of COVID vaccine, 40% are fully vaccinated, and 45% of youth aged 12-17 have had at least one shot.
