Thunderstorms moving eastward are expected to hit Chatham-Kent today.
Environment Canada has issued a severe thunderstorm warning for the region ahead of the storm, which could bring strong winds, hail, and sudden downpours.
The storm was reportedly over the Windsor-Essex area shortly before 1 p.m.
Weather officials advise residents to take cover immediately if threatening weather approaches.
