Police were called to Canadian Tire in Chatham late yesterday afternoon, where the 32-year-old was taken into custody.
Further investigation lead authorities to believe the same man was wanted in connection to a theft from Shoppers Drug Mart earlier this month.
The 32-year-old has been charged with two counts of theft under $5000 and two counts of possession of stolen property.
