Two local men are facing charges after a pair of shoplifting incidents in Chatham and Wallaceburg.

Police were called to Sport Chek on Grand Avenue West on Tuesday after a man allegedly stole a pair of Adidas shoes and took off on a bike. Using video surveillance, authorities were able to identify a suspect, and a 37-year-old man was arrested yesterday morning.

A Wallaceburg man was also taken into custody yesterday, accused of stealing some items from Canadian Tire on McNaughton Avenue.

Both men charged with theft and possession of stolen property, and will be back in court to face the charges next month.
