The municipality is looking to spend nearly $1,000,000 to shore up the banks of the Thames River at Riverview Line and Heritage Road in Chatham.
The section of river, near the Parry Bridge, has been eroding for quite a few years, with preliminary work being done in 2011.
All told, about 325m or nearly a ¼ mile of bank will be reinforced with rock and regraded.
Henry Heyink of Chatham won the tender.
Before the work can move ahead it will need council approval, which is expected Monday evening.
