Charges have been laid after shots were fired just east of Chatham-Kent.
The Ontario Provincial Police received a complaint on Sunday at around 1 a.m. about firearms being discharged from an ATV and a truck on Furnival Road in West Elgin.
Officers located the two vehicles at the scene and following an investigation arrested a suspect.
As a result, a 50-year-old West Elgin man has been charged with possession of a firearm or ammunition contrary to prohibition order, driving while prohibited, and driving without an ignition interlock device. His vehicles will also be impounded for 45 days.
The accused with answer the charges in court next month.
