Six Taken To Hospital From Sarnia Jail

A scary scene at the Sarnia jail Friday as three inmates and three corrections officers were taken to the hospital following a report of multiple overdoses at the facility.

Sarnia Fire Rescue responded to the scene at the jail and found staff working on the victims exposed to and contaminated with an opioid.

The HazMat team was called in and set up a full decontamination area and then disinfected the entire jail.

No word yet on the conditions of those taken to Bluewater Health.
