Organizers of a skilled trades workshop are hoping the second time’s the charm.
Originally planned for January 15, Postma’s Skilled Trades Boot Camp had to be cancelled because of a winter storm, but has now been rescheduled for Wednesday, February 11.
The program, in partnership with Support Ontario Youth and Tools in the Trades, gives educators, industry partners, and community leaders a hands-on look at careers in the skilled trades, specifically millwright and plumbing.
Participants will see tools, technology, and work environments firsthand; speak directly with tradespeople; and learn more about how skilled trades support reliable infrastructure, local business growth, and sustainable careers.
The event runs from 8:30 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. at Postma’s main office on Charing Cross Road.
