Provincial numbers are surging, but a slight dip in Chatham-Kent’s COVID cases today.
Health Minister Christine Elliott is reporting 2380 new cases today, but says roughly 280 of those are due to a data catch-up. Another 17 Ontarians have died from the virus in the last 24 hours.
Locally, the number of active cases has slipped back to 104 with four new infections and 8 cases resolved today.
There are now two local residents being treated for the virus in hospital with one more admitted since yesterday’s update.
And public health continues to keep an eye on three outbreaks in the community – one each at A.A. Wright Public School, Hudson Manor in Tilbury, and an un-named church. All three are holding steady with no new infections being reported.
Around the region, Windsor-Essex has 21 new cases today, while Lambton County is reporting a jump of 41 along with one more death linked to the virus.
