Chatham-Kent’s number of active cases of COVID-19 has risen slightly.
Public Health says there are now 84 active infections with 15 new cases being reported today.
One local resident has been released from hospital, leaving five Chatham-Kent residents being treated for the coronavirus at the Health Alliance.
The health unit has also cleared one workplace outbreak, leaving five ongoing around the municipality, along with two outbreaks in congregate living settings and one at Fairfield Park nursing home in Wallaceburg.
Province-wide another 87 people have died from the virus. That’s on top of another 2662 new cases reported by the Ministry of Health today.
Around the region, two more people have died from the virus in Lambton County. The health unit is also reporting six new cases. However, with an increase in recoveries the active caseload has dropped to 190.
In Windsor-Essex, public health has recorded another eight deaths and 99 new infections today.
