Chatham-Kent’s annual snowplow naming contest is back for another year.
First launched in 2021, the campaign aims to add some joy to the cold winter months. There are now 24 named plows on the roads of Chatham-Kent, including Gordie Plow, Blizzard of Oz, Sled Zepplin, and Flurrie Jenkins.
Now through February 13, residents can submit a name through the Let’s Talk Chatham-Kent website.
A selection committee will pick the top 10 names to move on to the voting stage. Residents will then select the submissions they like the best, and the three top names with the highest votes will be chosen.
The winners will be announced with a ribbon cutting at a later date.
