Snow and freezing rain overnight is wreaking havoc on the roads around Chatham-Kent this morning.

Plows and salters have been out through the night, but the blast of wintery weather has forced the cancellation of school buses for the day in all zones serving the Lambton-Kent and St Clair Catholic District, and Providence English Catholic school boards. School buses for Wallaceburg Christian School have been parked for the day as well.

Officials from St. Clair College have cancelled classes at Thames Campus in Chatham until 10am. All classes at the campuses in Windsor will continue as scheduled.

With more light snow or flurries this morning, road conditions are expected to remain slick and visibility affected by winds with gusts up to 60 kilometres an hour.
