Organizations like the Salvation Army, the United Way, and Loads of Love are joining forces today for the Housing Support Services Fair. 
Organizer Dominique McKee says it’s in response to the social and affordable housing crisis.
“I just want to increase awareness as to what housing services are available,” McKee says. “I know there’s a crisis with social housing, I know wait lists are long, I just want a positive, uplifting event in terms of what Chatham-Kent is doing in this area to help people out.”
McKee says the event is open to the public, and also includes networking among various agencies and organizations so they can refer clients to other services if needed.
The event runs from 11am-1pm at the Chatham branch of the Public Library.
Free refreshments and sandwiches will be served.
