All eyes will be on the sky today for the solar eclipse.
Eclipses aren’t all that rare, in fact there are usually two nearly every year somewhere on the globe.
That said, the last time an eclipse could be visible in Chatham-Kent was 1994.
If you remember that one, it’ll be much the same this time – about 78% of the sun will be covered, with the peak around 2:30pm.
To view it, you’ll need special glasses or build a projector box – click here to find the instructions.
Want to see the whole eclipse? You’d best be in Missouri, Kentucky or Tennessee.
If you aren’t making the trip, don’t worry, on April 8th, 2024 at 3:15, there’s going to be a total solar eclipse covering the southern half of Chatham-Kent.
