Solar Panel Stolen from CK Transit Shelter

CK officials say only one company (their vehicle is pictured here) should be removing solar panels from transit shelters.

Chatham-Kent officials say more vandalism has been done to CK Transit Shelters.

Vandalism on a transit shelter has occurred for a second time this week.

On May 8, 2019, a solar panel was stolen from the CK Transit Shelter located at the corner of William Street North and Murray Street (across from the Chatham Cultural Centre) in the Community of Chatham.

To assist the public with identifying possible suspicious activity, there is only one company (Mountain Shelter Solutions) that should be installing/removing solar panels, or conducting general maintenance on CKTransit owned shelters.

(see attached photos).

If anyone has any information about this recent theft or witnessed any suspicious activity, please contact Chatham-Kent Police Services immediately.
