A Chatham driver will have to hitch a ride for the next few days.
Shortly after 2 o’clock Tuesday morning, Provincial Police pulled over a speeding vehicle on Eighth Line, clocked going 122 kilometres an hour in an 80 zone.
The investigating officer suspected the driver had been drinking and administered a roadside test.
The 20-year-old behind the wheel has since been charged with speeding, being a novice driver with a blood alcohol concentration over zero, failing to surrender their license, and driving with liquor readily available.
The accused was also issued a three day license suspension.
