Splashpad Gets Lions Support

Splash-Pad-10A one-day fundraiser has brought in an extra $2,800 to help build a splash pad in Wallaceburg.

The Lions Club of Petrolia organized yesterday’s barbecue, and spokesman Bob Tanner says people were lined up before the event even began.

“Our pride is their pride that’s what’s good about it. And it’s amazing the giving people here in Wallaceburg, says Tanner. “The people are really giving and it’s incredible to see and appreciated.”

The Splash Pad committee is working towards issuing a request for proposals to get construction started, with hopes of having the water feature open mid-summer.
