Jordan Durston and the Six Nations Chiefs are heading to the Major Series Lacrosse Championship! Durston and the Chiefs open the finals on the road Sunday, visiting the Peterborough Lakers. The Chiefs first home game in the finals is scheduled for Tuesday at 8 pm from the Iroquois Lacrosse Arena in Hagersvile. Good luck, Durst!

The annual exhibition tournament features many of the areas top professional, college, Junior, and minor players, including TJ Brodie, Seth Griffith, Kyle Hope, Deni Goure and more. A semi-final will be played tonight at 6:30pm, followed by the championship game at 7:45pm. Last season Team Brodie won the title, with TJ Brodie taking tournament MVP honours, and Deni Goure winning top scorer. The game is open to the public, with free admission.

Chatham’s Cam Creechan was named to the Road To Gold Top 100 roster this week and has been selected for Canada’s 45-man roster at the 2020 IFAF World Junior Championships. The roster was comprised after seven identification camps across Canada, as well as the Football Canada Cup. A top 70 will be selected to participate in a Red-White game in February, followed by the announcement of the 45-man roster.
