A sprinkler system made quick work of an industrial fire near Tilbury.
Chatham-Kent Fire and Rescue crews from Tilbury and Merlin responded to a blaze on Industrial Park Road shortly before 8 o’clock Tuesday night.
Officials say a small fire was found above one of the building’s paint booths, but the flames had already been doused by the facility’s sprinklers.
No injuries were reported. No damage estimate has been released as cleanup and repair work continue.
The building was released back to management after an inspection, and employees were able to safely get back to work.
Fire officials say the incident is a good reminder to all business owners that properly maintained sprinkler systems can protect lives, properties, and business owners.
