A St Thomas man is facing charges following a domestic disturbance in Chatham-Kent.
Officers with Elgin OPP were called to a home shortly before 9:30 last Friday morning as part of an intimate partner violence investigation.
A 23-year-old man was arrested at the scene and charged with spousal assault.
Authorities say the accused was released from custody with conditions, including not contacting the victim. However, shortly after being released, investigators say the accused contacted the victim using a cell phone before he even left the OPP detachment property.
The man was arrested again, and charged with failing to comply with and undertaking. He was then held in custody for a bail hearing and later released with a future court date.
