Standing Room Only at Holiday Jam for Hunger

Last night’s Holiday Jam for Hunger was a huge success.

Organizer Alysson Storey says Sons of Kent was full.

“There was standing room only. It was an amazing turnout, and Chatham-Kent really came out to support Chatham Outreach for Hunger. We’re really thankful everyone came out for an awesome night celebrating Canadian music”, says Storey.

The event featured The Dave Trinca Experience, The Constellations, and Walkin’ 47.

“This has been going on for 13 years. Every year is so much fun- it’s so hard to choose a favourite year. We had a new roster of musicians this year, and with 2017 being an emotional year for Canadian music, we really wanted to celebrate that”, Storey says.

The event has been raising money and food donations for the local food bank since it started.

“I haven’t checked the numbers yet, but it’s very possible that we raised the most money and food this year for Outreach for Hunger this year”, Storey says.
