A Dresden man is facing charges after he was allegedly found with a stolen vehicle.
The Chatham-Kent Police Service said officers were assisting another police service with the arrest of a suspect on unrelated charges on North Street in Dresden at around 8:20 a.m. on Thursday.
Authorities have not released what charges the man was initially facing or which other police service was being assisted.
Following an investigation, officers allegedly located a stolen vehicle in the suspect’s possession.
A 37-year-old man from Dresden is now charged with possession of stolen property over $5,000 and failing to comply with a probation order. He has been transported to South West Detention Centre and will remain in custody until his next video court appearance.
