The bridge is closed. The Stonehouse Walking Bridge in Wallaceburg is no longer open to foot traffic as they prepare to repair. The McLean Taylor Construction Company was awarded the $540 thousand dollar contract to repair the bridge and began by putting up fencing yesterday. The repairs are supposed to begin April 6th and it is expected to take until the end of June to make the repairs. But they promise things will be all better in time for WAMBO in August.
