Lisa Pieta’s grade 5-6 class at Tecumseh Public School in Chatham has been holding a variety of fundraisers over the last few months, raising money for the Foundation of CKHA diagnostic imaging equipment campaign.
Pieta says she’s loved watching her students grow.
“Before Christmas we were learning about the human body and we had somebody from the hospital coming in and talk about diagnostic imaging equipment,” says Pieta. “Which lead to us learning they were trying to raise this money and then the kids said, ‘What can we do to help?'”
A special fundraising finale is being held at the school tomorrow, including a school-wide candy hunt, snow cone sales, and more, before the final cheque is presented to the foundation.
