- ½ lb. ground beef
- ½ lb. ground pork
- 1 medium onion
- ½ cup rice
- 1 tsp. salt
- ½ tsp. Pepper
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 egg
- 2 small cans tomato sauce
- 10 small green, yellow or red peppers
Wash peppers, cut off tops, remove seeds and scrape with spoon. Mince and brown onion in olive oil , pour this in bowl, add meat, washed rice, salt and pepper and beaten egg. Mix well. Fill green peppers about ½ full with mixture. Place peppers into deep pot. Pour on tomato sauce and enough water to cover. Simmer for about an hour or until rice is cooked.
